How to self-exclude from theScore Bet (formerly ESPN BET)
ESPN BET became theScore Bet on December 1, 2025. If you had ESPN BET, your account, history and settings carried over into theScore Bet app. So the account is still there, and so is the self-exclusion button.
The short version
- Path: profile icon at the top right, then Responsible Gaming, then Self Exclusion at the bottom of the list.
- Terms depend on your state. Many states offer lifetime, including Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia. Take it.
- Open bets are cancelled and your balance is mailed to you by check. You can't log in during the exclusion.
- In many states it also bans you from PENN Entertainment's physical casinos, like Hollywood Casino.

Tap your profile icon
Top right of the app, next to your balance.

In most states you'll confirm your full Social Security number and accept a waiver.
Choose the longest length
Pick lifetime where it's offered. theScore Bet's own help page lists the options state by state.
There's no room for gambling in our lives going forward. Even after a few years of cooling off, the addiction comes back and we end up gambling the same way again. We never get back to doing it just for fun. We always take it too far.
