How to self-exclude from Fanatics Sportsbook
Fanatics was the app I'd hear about from guys who already had every other sportsbook. If it's on your phone, lock it the same way you lock the rest. Fanatics' own responsible gaming page sets the rules below.
The short version
- Self-exclusion at Fanatics lasts at least 1 year. Take the longest term you're offered.
- While you're excluded you can't log in, bet, deposit or change the account. To get money out, contact Fanatics support.
- A timeout is not the same thing. Timeouts run 3 to 365 days. Self-exclusion is the real lock.
- In some states Fanatics sends you to the state program, which covers every licensed operator there. Pennsylvania is one.
- Then enroll in your state's program at lifetime if it's offered, and block the app.
Before you start
- Withdraw your balance while you can still do it yourself. Once you're excluded, withdrawals go through support.
- Screenshot or download any account history you might need later for taxes or a debt plan.
- Turn off saved cards. Fanatics also offers a Deposit Method Exclusion that blocks a specific card or bank account from being used. Ask for it on any card you've used.
How to self-exclude
Log in and open your account
Open the Fanatics Sportsbook app or site and go to your account settings. Look for Responsible Gaming.
Pick Self-Exclusion, not Timeout
A timeout can be as short as 3 days. Self-exclusion has a minimum of one year.
Choose the longest term
Pick the longest option your state allows. When it ends, renew it the same day.
Confirm and keep the email
Fanatics says that during self-exclusion you can't log in, place bets, deposit, or change your account.
There's no room for gambling in our lives going forward. Even after a few years of cooling off, the addiction comes back and we end up gambling the same way again. We never get back to doing it just for fun. We always take it too far.

If Fanatics sends you to your state
In some states, Fanatics' self-exclusion is handled by the state and covers every licensed sportsbook there. In Pennsylvania, Fanatics points you to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board's program. That is a good thing. One form, every app in the state.
Find your state's program and how to enroll on your state page.
Closing your Fanatics account
Fanatics says account closure is done by contacting customer support. You can email [email protected]. Closing is weaker than self-exclusion, because a closed account can sometimes be reopened. Self-exclude first, then ask them to close it.
Fanatics Markets is a separate app
Fanatics also runs a prediction market app called Fanatics Markets. Your sportsbook exclusion doesn't cover it. Here's how to lock out prediction markets.
Then lock the other doors
- Exclude from every other app you've used. One lock is not enough if another door is open. Start with DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM and Caesars.
- Enroll in your state's program, at lifetime if it's offered.
- Delete the app and block it with BetBlocker or Gamban, and turn on gambling blocks at your bank.
Common questions
How long is Fanatics self-exclusion?
At least one year. Pick the longest term offered, renew it when it ends, and enroll in your state's program at lifetime if it's offered.
Can I log in during a Fanatics self-exclusion?
No. Fanatics says you can't log in, bet, deposit or change your account. To withdraw money, contact Fanatics support.
Is a Fanatics timeout enough?
A timeout runs 3 to 365 days and then ends. If you're asking the question, use self-exclusion instead.
Does Fanatics self-exclusion cover other sportsbooks?
Only where it runs through a state program, as in Pennsylvania. Otherwise exclude from each app and enroll in your state's list.
